Now that the tile is in and walls are painted I’m so excited to add all the final details that will make the space feel complete and welcoming. The glass enclosure was installed this week but I honestly don’t want to post a picture of it until the striking, oversized framed photograph arrives and ties everything together. The white roller shade I’ll be picking up at IKEA this weekend and a few samples of possible cabinet knobs have been ordered. Refinishing the countertop and painting the cabinet is on the list but will probably wait a few months until Phase II of the bathroom renovation.
A great design feature of this bathroom will be a framed photograph that Greg took (in our garden). Our goal is to soften up the bathroom with the color and texture from a plant, but presented more as an abstract piece of art. It’ll be quite a large piece at about 28″ x 38″ and I can’t wait to see what an impact it makes. We decided to try out Framebridge.com to take care of printing the image, framing it and mailing it right to our door. So far they’ve made the process fun, simple and hassle-free.
